DRAWING UPON A MYRIAD OF EXPERIENCES

Gregory Evans has been a Short Order Cook, a Wildland Fire-fighter, a Level 1 Reserve Deputy Sheriff, a dealer in a Reno casino, an owner / manager of a small retail business, an advance agent for a Circus, and has been shipped-wrecked in the West Indies, bringing emergency supplies to Nicaraguan refugees.

EDUCATION: CONVENTIONAL AND UNCONVENTIONAL

Greg has a B.S. in Applied Business Management from Azusa Pacific University where he graduated with Honors (Magna Cum Laude). Mr. Evans also holds a degree in Nutrition.

But Greg’s proudest degree, is that of a graduate of the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Clown College where he studied under Randy Judkins, and Master Clown - Lou Jacobs. He’s studied acting, mime, and movement at various other venues including the University of Pennsylvania in conjunction with the International Movement Theatre Festival where he studied under Ronlin Foreman, and attended a class by Avner the Eccentric (Eisenberg).

THE LIFE OF AN ENTERTAINER

As a Variety Artist and actor, Greg has performed with variety shows and circus’ across the U.S. In Japan, he’s performed in Revues, Ensemble Productions, a Dutch Theme Park, and did a short tour with the Kinoshita Circus. Also Greg has worked along side various stars including appearances on stage with Barry Manilow. Greg has appeared in (and worked on) numerous cable commercials, Japanese commercials, and hosted a late nite show on KVCR TV.

A LOVE OF LEARNING. A LOVE OF TEACHING.

With a love of learning, an enthusiasm to share his knowledge, and a gift for communicating concepts and processes, Greg has developed a heart of a teacher, and has taught clowning and performing arts in various venues including The Great-All-American-Youth-Circus where he served as Boss Clown.

FOOL-MAKING TO FILM-MAKING

While working as a Pantomime-Clown in Japan, Greg bought a HI-8 video camera to record and review his own performances, so as to improve his craft of Physical Comedy. However, he found himself also documenting his stay in Japan, discovering he had a love, and a knack for videography, and later film-making. Thus began the training of his inner eye to see the world through the camera’s lens.

Then, back in the U.S., at a local college, he studied Television Production under a former CNN Producer, and studied Video Production under an award winning cable commercial Producer/Director. As Greg started working behind the camera in various Cable commercials, TV and Video productions, he was discovering that he had a desire to create content and to tell stories through video and film. The seeds of a storyteller and director had been planted.

Through all of this, Gregory has become an accomplished cameraman having shot everything from fashion shows to a buffalo hunt. He’s directed a number of productions including an in studio 3 camera shoot of Magician, Paul Cash, at a local TV station. As an independent, he also directed and co-produced a period movie, which takes place on the eve of the American Revolution.

Presently, Greg lives in Idaho, with his wife Yuki,(whom he met behind the scenes, at a theme park in Japan) and their two children.
